July 1, 1988 – June 30, 1989
The Coalition's contract with the New York State Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Training and Education Program for 1988–89, for up to $27,999.94; later papers call it the first of these grants. The project narrative targets asbestos and the hazardous substances used in custodial work, with UAW Local 2300 at Cornell and Teamsters Local 65 dairy workers, through workshops, group interviews, surveys, and a brochure. The budget pays two part-time positions, a Coordinator of Training and a Training Assistant, and the file includes the signed signature sheet, the notarized acknowledgment, the basic agreement, budget schedules, and a project timetable.
The folder holds an unsigned and a signed copy of this contract. The signed signature sheet and the acknowledgment with the Comptroller's approval stamp are shown; the matching pages of the other copy are not. The detailed budget page listing the two positions' pay rates is withheld.
